I really enjoy the houses or plots you are able to have at the start of joining. It creates a safe haven for doing things while allowing you to tp between the areas. The ranking system is great too, making the time spent on the server be rewarded with more abilities and items. The daily votes is fun for random prizes.

this it truly a great sever, a nice community that is always there to help u with everything u need, even if u never played modded minecraft before if u have a question they will try to explain it to their best they can.
another point is that there is like almost no lag when i play the managment that they do with their point system pet chunk oh man that is a great idea and i wish more server would give this system a try.

I have absolutely loved the experience I have had on golden sands. Although I would say the community is a tad less friendly to newer players then other servers, it has been the server with the most experience. With the modified crafting, it has changed the game to a very enjoyable difficulty, it has made things easier and also harder it is posing new challenges to me purely by changing a few recipes. I could not say enough good things about this server

I really like the Golden Sands minecraft server because it's very familiar. The server have many new crafting recipes, what is very awesome. The staff help if you dont know what to do :D. On the other hand the Server lag sometimes after a entity despawn but it's not that bad.
All in all is the server very good.

When I started playing Infinity Evolved, I didn't know which server to choose. When I stumbled across Golden Sands, I knew that this was the server for me. Nicely built spawn, happy, and understandable staff, and just a good community to have fun and play the modpack.

Hi, I’m 2scoopsrice and I’ve been playing on this server for a while now. I’m not a veteran by any means, but I do enjoy playing on this server and will keep playing on it. This server has many good traits, but it also has a few things I feel are pretty restricting, but I’ll admit that a lot of these are probably just out of selfishness. One of my favorite things about the server is the ranks. There are two different kinds of ranks, ones based on playtime and ones based on purchasing like normal. I feel the playtime ranks are really smart because as you rank up, you gain access to some items that are potentially more dangerous, or have potential to cause lag, while on other servers these would just be banned outright to prevent people that have just joined to be able to craft a gigantic mob grinder that destroys the server. The purchasable ranks I don’t have too much of an opinion of, they generally just give you a new kit and some items. But what makes them wonderful is the fact that you can purchase them in game without ever spending a dollar, as you get a currency when you vote. The server also provides free lava and water for your generators, and a mineworld to mine and ender quarry in that resets every few months, so the overworld doesn’t become blotchy and disgusting. Now, back to the restricted and banned items. Again, this complaint is most likely because of selfishness, and is for the greater good of the server, but there’s certain restrictions on key parts of gameplay that make it difficult to progress. I reccommend building your base off of chunks, because they’ll become super important when making the technical aspects of your base. There’s heavy restrictions on things like mob grinders, such as only being able to use diamond spikes to kill, building your entire mob grinder in one chunk, and being only able to use limited amounts of cursed earth. My point is some things that would be easy usually are made difficult and obnoxious by the restrictions in place to reduce lag, which I understand as it’s a pretty large server. Another thing I’m kind of toxic about is that there’s not set in stone rules, and each staff member has different standards and can punish you in whatever way they deem fit. For example, one staff member might be totally okay with swearing, while another hates it and might mute or ban you for it. This system usually works out well, as most of the rules are common sense, but sometimes you will get disciplined for something you didn’t even know was wrong. That’s my opinion of the server, mostly positive but with some negative bits in there too. Overall, I would reccomend playing on the server, but don’t be surprised when you can’t do anything you want, and have to work to do good.

It isn't common to 'discipline' someone for something that isn't hurting the server or its players in some way. If that happened to you in the past we are sorry for that. Also our staff always try to draw one line when it comes to following the rules.

You mention swearing - it is allowed but you might be asked to "tone it down" if you go over the top. We think that's part of "common sense" since there are also young people playing on our server. The worst that can happen to you is a temporary mute.

I love just about everything the server has to offer. The staff are very friendly and happy to help those who need it, and do a very good job managing the server. There is no lag on the server (unless caused by a player, but that is quickly resolved), and I love not having to worry about anyone griefing or raiding my builds. I give the server 10/10 of my cookies cause I can't really find any negatives about it. :D

this Is the best infinity evolved server I have ever played on. The community is vibrant and very welcoming. Staff are hard working and always willing to answer any question you may have about the server. Some mods are restricted or banned, but they are very good reason as to not cause lag or completely destroy the server. In conclusion this server is LIT.

This server man let me tell you something man let me tell you something this server is one of a kind i might leave and play other servers yeah but i keep coming back to this.they this time rank thing at 1st i was like really who do you think you are putting items on a time rank really i cant go and just break the world with a staff of power in the 1st day but it helped i got way more into the game and got to try more stuff the player builds are always a fun thing for me. Love the warp gather so you can go wild for does ores.At the end of the day those mods on this server are doing something right if i keep coming back time and time again. If you are looking for a server come on to this one ill leave the light on for you.

So first off, I have never played modded Minecraft before so getting started with all the different mods (and there sure are a bunch) was quite the experience when i first joined the server. First impression was being quickly greeted by almost everyone online which was awesome because I truly felt welcomed. The staff was very helpful in getting me started when it came to questions about the different mods, rules, ranks, etc. Even some of the players helped me out as well. Did I mention they have custom recipes for a bunch of items they hand made?! How cool is that!

Fast forward some months now and I'm still loving the server! Everyone that joins is usually super friendly and ends up sticking around from what I've seen. Mini games are hosted usually every Sunday as well as just randomly beimg hosted with prizes being given out to the winners. I've made a ton of friends whether it be staff or just players and I really appreciate all of them.

The rules MAY seem a bit on the strict side like others here have mentioned BUT there is a methos to the madness. Lag? Nonexistent which is crazy considering that the server has to handle all the different mods at the same time. Economy could use a little bit working on but it's a tricky thing to get right and I understand that but honestly it's at a decent spot right now. No afk machines makes sense when you realize a lot of the ranks based around your in game playtime reward you with access to certain items that would otherwise just be unfair if you had from the beginning.

Overall, I would like to thank Mudge and honestly just all the staff for all the hard work and time they put in to make the server what it is. After all they dont get paid to be online and help everyone but instead they're just genuinely amazing people. Whether it be behind the scenes or online answering a stupid question about something that has been answered a million times before, they are what make the server what it is. So come check it out for yourself!

This server is by far the best FTB server I have ever played on, in fact it is the ONLY FTB server I play on because no other server comes close.

I've with Golden Sands for over a year now and I've had a blast. The community is fantastic and the staff are incredibly attentive when it comes to player feedback.

Server rules are very fair, and help keep the server running optimally for everyone. Mod selection is great so you'll never run out of things to do.

This server has been the best modded server and community I have played on in a long time (And Ive been playing modded since the release of tekkit) with a staff that is nearly always active, and other helpful players, it is always easy to get help if needed. The rules and restrictions may seem a little crazy, but they really help prevent lag and keeping players bases safe, even then, most restrictions get lifted via playtime ranks. The tech point rule is a bit hard to get used to at first but it does help lag and it is a good way of being able to organize your base better too, just have to put a little more thought into it. The FTB infinity server has many daily players with tons of shops to help you get stuff you need. Voting gives money and a random reward that can really help you along. There is also a stoneblock 2 server that is fairly new but is filled with helpful and kind players that will help if you need it. Goldensands has a discord where you can talk with fellow players, get help from admins, talk about other games, or laugh along with the jokes people make. Overall my favorite modded community.

but the Admins and Like Church are arrogant and try to

I have been here forever. It is by far the best FTB server I have been on, and I've bounced around plenty to have a good idea of what servers should and shouldn't be like. Allow me to go through my favorite things about this server:
-Staff are highly competent and enjoy their jobs. The server owner is very humble and kind and interacts with players. Staff are also very active both in game and in Discord.
-OVER 25+ CUSTOM PLUGINS. All amazing additions. Kudos to the wonderful developer. Drastically improves the user experience!
-Economy is well maintained.
-You are able to purchase ranks with something other than money. By voting or welcoming players, you earn "Sand Dollars", which you can use to purchase in-game items and ranks!
-Numerous events and minigames held often. Staff hold minigames and events fairly often, providing players with fun activities!
-The server buildings look phenominal.
-The community is active and fun to be in. A very relaxed community, everyone is chill with one another and we all have fun together.

While the machine rules are a bummer for some, the benefit heavily outweighs the bad. The helpful and kind community did it for me. The custom crafting is also a huge plus, makes the game wayyyy much more fun. The custom plugins are awesome. Did I mention that Golden Sands also hosts other modpacks? You should definitely check it out. 10/10

Easily the best FTB Infinity server I've played on yet. Over the one month I've been playing, I've seen major changes for the better. The more I play, the better it gets. If theres one thing this server taught me is to always read the rules before joining.

No disrespect to the owner or mods, they are very friendly but the machine rules are very totalitarian. With a limit of only 16 machines per chunk and a rule that multiblock structures cannot overlap chunks, the possibilities are rather limited for a modpack which is heavily centered around the use of machinery.

I spent a whole day restructuring my apiaries to apply with the 16 machine limit rule only to be told by a mod that they're updating the maximum limit to 10, nowhere in the rule book did it tell me this.

Great staff and community however rather limiting rules.

I am sorry that you dislike the server rules regarding machines, multiblocks and such and I will be the first to agree with you, I hate them. Mostly I hate that they are necessary. When the server first opened we tried to let people build whatever they wanted "within reason" and we eventually reached a point where the server's tps was never better than 15. Which is bad.

After installing rules asking players to limit the amount of machines they have per chunk our servers tps usually sits around 18.5 to 20, usually closer to 20.

I just want you to know that I too play this game and my entire base (which is pretty big actually) adheres to all the server rules and it doesn't impede my very large base at all.
