I've played on this amazing server for many years. They've been very kind, super helpful, and offer a great community! It's truly one of a kind and can't be beat!

The staff and players are friendly, and there are a lot of cool features on the server. There are a variety of shops as well as land claiming and protections. While some of the modpack's features are restricted or allowed based on playtime, many features are preserved and it allows for a pretty genuine and fun FTB experience. Overall the server does a really good job.

hi! my ign is idkleaf and i enjoy this server a lot!! it's very friendly and has a small trust worthy community which is nice causing it to not be overcrowded. i've just started going on this server and i'm going to continue doing so!!! :D

I'm usually not really invested in Minecraft servers but this is the first one in which I did. I joined because my friend needed help with a build, but I now have quite a passionate build myself. Staff and players are friendly and it's overall just a very nice place to spent your free time ^^

Very friendly server and admins. Everyone's very helpful and the range of mods are fun to play :) Lots of cool events too.

I've been with this server for about 1 or 2 years and the entire time I've only had good times. The staff and people are super nice. Everyone has their humor and it is a very exciting community. Sometimes they even have little events where the server gets together has fun and some even earn rewards. This is my favorite server and I never wanna switch.

This server is well rounded, and not too laggy, the banned/restricted items list is few and fair. I would and have reccomended this server to my friends, not only cause of how good it is, but also how friendly and helpful the people and staff are on this server.

Ok, well this is NOT the first time I am leaving a review for Golden Sands. I had to take some personal time off due to the unfortunate cancer terms, almost 2 years of fighting and it has been beat, however the suggested 6weeks recovery was bull, took a lot longer than that.. and I still fee it now and then again.
It was depressing to leave, I had such great hudge base's and a friendly store to boot, was a great contributor to the marketplace. And had a great many friends. Well anyways.. Im back again. An as devoted and grateful as i wa before, they shall not cesce to exist and infact after the way I have been treated by the staff upon my return, some even remembering the good old times, I am happened to have rejoined.
Seems there was some mischief a few months or year, and they had to restart the server, to be honest I am not mad at all.. it gives me an opportunity to restart and rebuild my base, my knowledge, and local friendships alike..
I dont want to talk about lag, as I have not experienced any... oh excuse me, after smashing 1000 blocks 4 of them reappeared.. big woop. i can live with that. the perks you get for voting for a servers are NOT too easy and still require you to earn the end game.
Like I said, i have only just gotten back for a few days or 2, but as memory serves Golden Sands was great for setting up mini games, holiday rewards and other things alike.
The biggest thing to me is the wiki, and it is a verbal one at that. So many players here are willing to share some secrets and tip on how to progress, where as other will assist but let you figure it on your own. there is a great player-base for all gaming levels and professions...
I give Golden Sands MC a 5 Start review, because its what works.

This server is really great mostly due to its rules regarding lag. The lag in other servers made it almost unplayable but here, it is barely noticeable even when 15 people are on. The Admins are also very helpful and are very active on the server!

Me and my buddies have been on the server for a couple days and have had lots of fun. It is all very user friendly. Just need to make sure new people read all the rules off the start. We kinda missed out on that.

I have been a long time player since August 2018. From being a new player to being a staff member, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in this server.
Right from the start the server impressed its player with its low lag and friendly staff members. To top it all off, it has custom recipes to add more enjoyment to gameplay. 11/10 will recommend this server to any new player :))

Helpful Players, Staff, and Community on this server. The server runs at a consistent 19+ tps and any issues are quickly dealt with. Questions about the modpack are quickly answered and due to the non-pvp element, it is very easygoing. Would definitely choose this server if you're looking for a reliable and friendly experience.

One of my favorite servers of all time! Very welcoming community, and the staff and players are very friendly, so long as you follow the rules. Lots of rules & limitations, but they are only put into place to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible.

Golden Sands is one of the best FTB servers I've belonged to. They have custom recipes that I haven't seen elsewhere. There is always someone to help you if you need it and all of the players are nice. An all around great community.

I've been playing on golden sands for a good while now and i have to say, in the simplest of terms, it is a far better environment than any of server ive played on. the structure, staff, social vibe, economy. everything is handled so cleanly, so professionally and it all comes together for an incredibly free, seamless, modded experience. lag is essentially nonexistant, banned items are few and far between. This server not only exhibits some of the best technical and social aspects of smp servers, but also an unparalleled staff.
Golden Sands is the pinnacle of multiplayer minecraft, just sayin.

I donated after reading the rules with less than 5 minutes in game time. Let me elaborate, I'm not a chaotic good person, nor do I have pocket change to fling around. It was clear to me after reading a short few ~10 or so sentences on this bulletin board style wall what kind of server this was. At Golden Sands they prioritize server performance first, player experience first-and-a-half, and everything else second. Now some self-entitled bastard reading this gonna say "well why would I wanna play somewhere I can't build 100x100x100 nuclear reactors for no reason?" and to that I say because it's dumb and you should feel bad because this isn't Ms. Mary-Anne's 4th grade math class and there are dumb questions here like the one you just asked. By prioritizing server performance with hand designed, well thought out, chunk based, self imposed limitations as a result ALL players have a better experience. I cannot even begin to explain my frustration with 99% of FTB servers and they being disgusting sluggish or need to backup every 5 minutes because of how unstable they are. Golden Sands is quite literally that GOLDEN 1% where by just keeping a few simple things in mind you can, well forget feed, Engorge The Beast.

The staffing team is always trying to make the server as lag free as possible while enabling players to obtain most items through playtime or custom recipes. I admire the work they do to keep the server friendly and refreshing. I always have fun on the server whenever I hop on it.

All I can say about the server is positivity. The staff are amazing, the players are helpful and fun to interact with! I haven't played FTB in a few years and this server brought the fun of it right back into my gaming!
