I've played on this server on and off for about 5 years. They have 3 sub-servers for different modpacks, but I only play FTB Revelations. I've played on many modded and vanilla servers, and of the modded servers Baconetworks is the most reliable, professional, and overall high quality. Even some servers with fantastic intentions fail to reach this level of quality, due to life getting in the way with lack of funding, or leadership burnout, or insufficient technical skill.
Baconetworks, however, is like a well-oiled machine. The leadership is always present and seems to have time to deal with concerns as they arise, and yet wisely chooses to delegate most responsibility for the day-to-day and "customer service" aspects to a mod team of volunteers, thus avoiding leadership burnout. Aside from the shop and donations, I have no visibility into the funding of the server, but it's had no issues for the 5 years I've been playing and I rather think the owner would keep it running even without the donations etc. In terms of technical skill the owner (and developer friends it seems) is fairly high, and they even have a senior staff member who's a pro at coding.
All these things come together to make a server that's great to play on, in my experience, to the point I've eschewed all others I had once frequented. All that said, the very best thing about Baconetworks, in my opinion, is the server -almost never- resets. To my knowledge, it's only reset 1 time during the 5 years I've known about it!

I have been playing skyblock 4 for some time now and i can say that this server one of the best compared to other ones i really enjoy it.

Really well made server. A little bit of P2W but thats normal. Also they host a lot of modpacks so I have finally a place where to play these modpacks :)

I really like playing SF4 with my friend. The Mods are really helpful even if I ask a similar questions 5 minutes later. I wish there were other ways to get chunk loaders instead of having to buy them with actual currency. My username is JthemanXD. I play on the BacoBits server.

So far the people are so nice and the communication is open and friendly - help is always there when needed! Server doesnt lag and everything is smooth! Even mini "games" are included - i like it! / user TinyRoxy_

This is one of the many Modded server I have played and overall this is the best one by far no toxic players great community and overall good players this server is very friendly and would share with friends

Server is not laggy, well optimized, paired with perfect support and dedicated team. They have custom plugins that make the server run nicely, while also allowing free ways to get paid things like chunk loaders. Overall a great experience and great people

The server is very well set up. It's very simple to start and there it does not lag noticeably. I like the minigames in chat to earn more money, very cool.

I think the general structure of the server is very successful. Also the tutorial area and the fact that you are made aware of help at the spawn. At the beginning it was difficult for me to get used to playing with prestige. Otherwise very good.

One of the few servers that has SkyFactory 4 prestige enabled, and with very few banned items too. Prestige points are a bit too easy to get but outside of that everything's good.

I must admit that this server is truly exceptional, boasting an impressively low latency. As I embark on my inaugural play-through on a SkyFactory4 server, I am delighted to report that I have encountered no issues thus far. Moreover, the community surrounding this server is thriving, fostering a positive and welcoming environment.

i realy like this server there only one issue which is the chunkloader i understand why they removed it but if they kept it this server whould be a 10/10 server rn its at a 9.6/10
