I have played on many, many servers and this is one of my top two of all time. Why? Uptime is excellent, lag is almost non-existent and admin/mod/helpers are always on to assist. No-pvp, grief prevention and friendly people all make this a great place to play Minecraft. (I've been playing on their RR4 server)

It is not very laggy and I like how even on servers with little people you still can be social because they have cross server chat.

Very good server a few lag problems but that is compensated with a restart every 2-3 hours to keep the server lag from getting to bad

I like the server because it has very few banned items. Little bit of lag but I will take it for having almost no banned items.

So far my experience in the server has been pleasant, it's well moderated, and the moderators are quite helpful.
I've had some connection issues, but that is probably because I'm connecting from Singapore all the way to their NA server. XP

Me and my friends migrated from Devco's Tekkit Legends server to the FTB Infinity Evolved one, so this is a 1.7.10 server review.

We've been on it for a couple days now and it's working excellently, just as the last server did. A lot more responsive than a lot of other Tekkit servers. I would definitely recommend Devco, they've not let me down so far!

Let see.

Can't speak for the 1.7 servers but the 1.10 servers are a mess. TPS is regularly under 10 and frequently hits 1 or less (aka expect lots of block lag). Lots of trolls come in and harass other players and staff frequently take an hour or more of chiding said troll before they'll do something as basic as a mute. Forget bans - people who intentionally skirt the edge of the rules don't even get banned. Of course that doesn't hold true if your "crime" is pointing out when the staff are ignoring an issue then you can expect to have the book thrown at you. Or giving gear you're going to just trash to a new player. Apparently that is a crime so heinous to the staff that it warrants an official rule against it and another that says that the staff shall determine if a trade is "of equal value".

Lots of stuff banned too. Including the key block for the Refined storage autocrafting system. All under the name of "preserving the TPS" which as the consistently bad TPS shows obviously isn't having the desired effect even with just 3 or 4 players online. Plus you find that while other blocks aren't banned you're quite restricted in where and how you can use them. Example: can't place Refined Storage external storage onto Storage Drawers or the storage draw controller. No where documented either - found that one out myself.

The staff's response is always "well 1.10 are beta so you should expect that." Except that 1.10 FTB packs are officially out of beta and other 1.10 servers don't have the same slew of problems. And don't expect any help if you lose items due to a blatant bug on a 1.10 server. Same tired excuse.

Only decent part is the other regular players who seem to have found ways to get around the staff.

Oh and all these positive reviews? Keep in mind that the only way to get ingame currency on Devoco is to vote and write glowing reviews. So odds are the majority are just people collecting some quick credits.

My advice if you're looking for a stable, playable 1.10 server with staff who aren't afraid to deal with a trouble maker is to look elsewhere.

I understand that the 1.10 FTB modpacks are out of Beta but as a server you need to understand that we are required to run plugins to protect your builds from grief among other things. Unfortunately 1.10 has been a change to the Sponge API whereas 1.7 and previous used Bukkit. This requires a rewrite of all plugins which takes alot of development time. Years of work have went into the bukkit plugins which is why the older servers are so much more stable then the new 1.10 servers.

As far as I'm aware there are still only a handful of items on our 1.10 servers that are banned, most of them have to do with lag bugs that Sponge have introduced. However these are changing all the time and there can be a bit of a delay on when things are restricted to when the banned list is updated.

Anyways I wonder if you actually have found a more unrestricted and stable server for 1.10 elsewhere as we are probably one of the few servers that have already put hundreds of hours into 1.10 plugin development.

Overall Devco servers host a nice community with a good staff team. Sure, every server has its problems, but I've found the Devco team does a great job at resolving issues quickly and without much fuss.

I really like the mods and everything but, it can get pretty laggy, also getting timed out a couple of times in a day D:

I've been playing on this server now for about a week. The staff is fair and on frequently. They have their own in-house plugins. I will continue playing here and suggest others come join the fun!
