My sister found this server and got me to join. I was making a fast friend, and it was good fun for around a week before it crashed and wasn't available all day. I checked back a few times every 3-30 minutes until the admin politely asked nobody log in until the all clear.

Eventually, the admins said they wanted to talk on the server's discord. I didn't know if I was in trouble or if they wanted help, but I respected them enough not to answer the voice call while I was busy dropping one in the toilet before supper.

I came back after supper, and the Discord was gone from my list and the server was moved to a white list.

To the admins of the server:

I still don't know what I did wrong. Were you just moving to a private server model and don't want me a part of it? Is it because I wasn't open for voice when you wanted? Is it because you think I broke a rule? I know my base was within the 1000 blocks of spawn, but I was told, "You're good," over voice when I brought it up. I could use some closure here, but I don't even know if you will even get my message.

Confused and hoping for a reply,

This was an awesome server: key word, 'was'. Everyone was friendly and respectful, the rules are reasonable, and there is tons of unclaimed land.

But then the server crashed royally one morning and hadn't been fixed more than 12 hours later. I have no problem with that; I am a patient and understanding person, and this is a fairly young server, less than 2 weeks as of this review. Stuff is always bumpy at first. In the evening, the server had not yet been fixed, we were about to have our family supper when we were called out in public. The server owner literally said, "We need to talk." This of course sparked a conversation that could have easily snowballed if left alone, but the admins went on to post a server log that, in context, seemed to indicate that the person called to the carpet was responsible for attempted log-in spam. When one was to look closer, however, there was no visible username attached to that log. But since it was time for supper, it was not something we were capable of dealing with at that moment. We would have been perfectly content talking about it an hour later or so.

When we came back from supper, we found that my brother and I had been banned without an explanation. He'd been the one called out in front of everybody, and I have the same series of numbers at the end of my username.

For whatever reason we were banned, I am disappointed in the staff for not handling this in a more diplomatic manner. No one has all the pieces here, so allow me to help by providing a few.

This server used to be a relaxing haven for us at the end of two hours of brutal therapy every week day.

We both adore playing with rules for civilized behavior, and always attempt to follow them.

We tried very hard to be accommodating within our limits.

My brother is a computer science major, and I read mod config files for fun.
